about Avocado Village

Thank you for interesting in Kyoto Avocado Village Homestay & Share House Apartment.

kyoto-homestay_top_1In my childhood, my family accepted homestay people. It is the first time I experienced a foreign culture. And then, I opened my share-house after studying abroad in Australia and New Zealand. The share-house concept is ‘Everybody is an ambassador of foreign culture’.

Kyoto Avocado Village is located in a residential suburb of Kyoto. I use its location as a foundation for showing people who stay the real side of Kyoto – not just the tourist face of the city. For example, shop in a nearby supermarket, walk around before breakfast, go to a local (Japanese-style bar) with friends, go on day trips with you during days off, and visit art museums and temples. My aim is for you to relax and enjoy your stay in Kyoto as though you have been living here for years.

Kyoto is good place to experience Japanese culture.

Kyoto avocado_about_2is full of temples and shrines with long histories. There are plenty of opportunities to experience traditional culture as these temples have events and festivals almost every month. The four seasons of Kyoto are also an amazing sight to experience. I am more than happy to help guests experience Kyoto life to the full first-hand.

One of the great things about the share-house is meeting others. Sharing information or things you have discovered with people from different countries, or having a meal together is all part of enjoying Kyoto life to the full.

It takes some courage to make a life for yourself in an unknown land. However that experience can only be to your future self’s advantage.

You have my strongest support as you take that first step. Let’s enjoy Kyoto together!
