京都の桜もそろそろ終わりかな？と思っていましたが、京都の中心地にある六角堂さんの桜がとってもきれいでした！
I was beginning to think that the sakura cherry blossom season was reaching its end, but then I saw the sakura at Rokkakudo, located in the middle of Kyoto blooming beautifully!

こちらのお寺はいけばな発祥の地としても有名で、すぐお隣には華道家元池坊総務所があります。
This temple is famous for being the place where ikebana flower arranging originated. Right next door is the office for Ikenobo schoolmasters.

この日も桜を使ったかなり大きな生け花をされているところに遭遇しました。まだ完成はしていない様ですが素敵ですね！
生けばなの作品をかざった夜の特別拝観が明日まであるそうです♫
This day I found them in the middle of setting up an incredibly large arrangement using the pink blossoms. I don’t think it was complete yet, but isn’t it absolutely fantastic?
Apparently they have special night-time admissions to view the arrangements on display until tomorrow.
